Feb. 19th, 2020 05:27 pmsigh. I'm trying to draft the end to Tisquantum, and ... it's got no good ending. Like, either he feels like he's lost the wrath of the gods and converts to Christianity as his faith fails him, or he realizes that the home/family he has left are the aliens who have abducted him. Both of these are pretty dismal, and I'm not sure it's something I want to put hours into drawing. And I don't particularly want to draw his political shenanigans, either? On the other hand, I do want to bind Tisquantum into a singular book. :/ Not sure how to proceed. I do have a nice convo between Squanto and Hobbomock before the political shenanigans, but I don't want to be like "and then everything failed." Am also unsure about the message of "Squanto sufficiently alienated everyone else, and ends up being saved by the white men" sort of end.
