Reblog: Movie Double Feature challenge
minoanmiss posted: Snowflake Challenge Day 12
Design a movie double feature or marathon and explain why as briefly or voluminously as you like!
I love this challenge! Mine was a rather predictable "Snowpiercer" + "Mad Max Fury Road", but would love to see what others come up with.

Check out the cool bookmarklet that astolat made! :D!! One-click reblogging from the post!
I'm on Firefox and it took me a hot minute to figure out how to actually edit the URL -- you have to go to "Show All Bookmarks" and not just "Edit This Bookmark."
It allows you to reblog with a snippet, too, but as usual, err on the side of caution for that. :)

melannen's post about what the adult content warning setting does is pretty helpful. It basically boils down to:
(a) a really annoying click-through happens on any post marked as adult content, as well as every single post of a blog marked as adult content. So...
(b) probably don't mark your blog as "adult content" unless it's >75% porn.
I've noticed little red [nsfw] icons next to some pretty innocuous posts on my dash, so ... maybe double-check yours? (It's under Organize -> Manage Account -> Display)
jesse_the_k posted "Markdown Simplifies Formatting Your DW Posts".
- It doesn't cover images, and this Markdown Cheatsheet makes it seem like it just does really simple image links -- you can't really specify width, which is pretty important to me.
- BUT! It does make the username linking the more usual kind, with the @ sign (so '
potofsoup' for DW and '
potofsoup2' for external sites), and it also makes code text easy to display with the ' marks. And a blockquote is just a > , so... maybe I'll start using it?
- BUT BUT -- it also kind of messes with my usual way of emphasizing text and turns my little dashes into bullets, and linebreaks sometimes do unexpected things, so I'm not sure...
Upon further reflection, markdown may be ideal for a quick reblog with the username, the post link, and (maybe) a blockquoted snippet. (But not a longer reblog like this one where I'm adding commentary)
actually this post was made using markdown

reblog: Everyone writes someone's unforgivable
![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
I don’t care what you write -- the fluffiest of Curtainfics, High School YA pastiches, or a string of First Kiss Coffeeshop AU’s, there is someone out there on the internet who hates it, despises you for writing it, and thinks it should be scrubbed from the Internet, and its creator banned and/or jailed forever.
YOU write someone’s “unforgivable content”.
