I tried out the Google Chrome extension and it works?? It gave me the option of publishing in html or text and all it took was one click for it to just copy into the html editor. My links work and the formatting was nice! It also lets you host your images apparently, so people can alternate between hosting on Dreamwidth or on Draft. And because it works with any text area it could potentially be used to crosspost to other sites.

Damn, I should have kept up with the features updates. Thanks for the heads up!!
