You know what I miss from the last time I was on LJ back in 2005? People commenting on webcomics feeds. It really felt like I was reading a comic with a community, to be able to click on comments and see other people's reactions. I feel like it's different from commenting on the comic's website itself -- feels more intimate, somehow. Anyway I haven't seen that happen so much here, and I'm wondering if that's just not a thing that people do anymore, or whether I'm just not following the right webcomics.

Anyway, here are the ones that I follow:
xkcd_feed
smbc_comics_feed
dinosaur_comics_feed
catandgirl_feed

And I'm just going to start commenting on them, bc why not.

Are there other webcomics that I should be following here on DW? Or have people moved away from that practice?

I don't know if you read Girl Genius, but there's usually some comment discussion in girlgenius_lair when each page is posted. Sometimes people will link previous appearances of a character who just showed up again, or link to other relevant past pages. (There's a feed, too, but I don't think people comment there. Maybe there are communities for other webcomics that also post the updates for commentary?)

I think seeing other people's comments is interesting, even though I don't generally comment myself. Go for it!

And yeah -- one of the first things I did when I got DW was to add my comics feeds, lol. I've also pulled in a few of my favorite tumblrs so this place is a little more lively. :)

Yeah, I follow a number of feeds that are not updated. Neil Gaiman, for example, seems to be primarily on tumblr now.
