Hey guys, it's my annual tradition of "spend the time between my wedding anniversary and July 4th thinking Steve Rogers thoughts and drawing a comic", so... yay? :D

Thank you, lovely! Yeah... climate change is such an existentially challenging thing to grapple with. I usually try to react to recent news, but this time, I wanted to take the long view, too.

This is...just what I needed. There's just so much going on, but Steve's steady push to do what's right, on all fronts, in this comic has made me feel just a little bit better. And given me energy to fight the good fight back in the real world.

This was definitely a hard comic for me to draw, since, as you say, there's so much going on, on so many levels -- political, social, technological, etc, and when you get past all that, our planet is also becoming inhospitable to the current slate of life forms. It's literally an existential crisis on a planetary scale. But I have faith! I think humans are much better at adapting to change than at pre-empting change, and now that change is upon us ... we will Get Shit Done. And since political stuff is such a hot mess right now, it's GOTTA be the society. WE have to be the check-and-balance, and in order to do so, we need to push beyond the safe zone of personal life. I'm trying to move my family into being plastic-free, but I think my next step is to talk to the facilities people at work and see if they can remove plastic one-use cups from their rotation.

I love these comics! Thank you for keeping on keeping on even as the WTF piles up high - and yeah, Steve was of course in charge of DOMESTIC war production and morale originally in the comics, he was MADE for this crisis. <3

Thanks for stopping by to read! It definitely tore me up a bit to basically move past the concentration camp stuff in the first page, but I feel like that's what always happens -- we're too busy putting out fires and fighting this stuff to think about climate change.

When I was reading about war bonds and all of the war effort, I kept thinking "what if there were... climate bonds?" But ... well, let's just say that this comic would have been rather different if I had more hope of the federal government leading the charge against climate change.
