UGH I HATE MARLIN
- Whenever things don't work out he always blames Dory
- A lot of his poor behavior stems from the fact that he constantly dismisses Dory's abilities and can't seem to believe that Dory could ever know better than he does
- Fucking gaslighting ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Telling her that she causes delays, that she's never helped him, and then of course The Trench.
- He erases Dory from his story of how he traveled across a whole ocean to find his son! Nemo never hears about Dory as being part of the story, and the story is just about Marlin being an amazing dad and nothing about Dory being an amazing friend. And so of course he doesn't recognize Dory when they meet.
Dude Crush is 150 years old. What was he like before the advent of Surfer Culture? Was he a Beatnik? and before that? One of those aura-photographer / Victorian seance types? Fisherman Crush?
Will Marlin become the next Sandy Plankton? Someone who has traveled and seen a lot, and then rests on their laurels and tells stories to the young fish? As in ... what if Sandy Plankton traveled across the ocean 50 years ago and also met Dude Crush (then Beatnik Crush) and thus thinks that sea turtles only live to be 100?
Gil's plan didn't work the first time because, without being in the filter, he can't actually see how big of a pebble is needed. It's only when Nemo has seen it that he can pick the right sized pebble the second time.
I ship Gil and Peach pretty hard
Why are all the pelicans male? Why are they the only neutral, unmarked Aussies?
