I am definitely in camp 'don't say reblog' - in the sense that reblog is a particular technolgy, and what you're actually describing is how to replicate the communal functions of that technology - but I offer my empathy, this whole discussion has been weird.
Copperbadge managed to recover almost his entire LJ from pre-Tumblr era content saving mechanisms. I don't know ALL of what he did (he has a post somewhere though), but I do have a repertoire of 'how to save and curate content that was made on Web 2.0 platforms' skills, would you appreciate a description of some of them?
