(no subject)

well, I got two Witcher fic recs in the Tuesday night Zoom Stream, and proceeded to spend Wednesday-Saturday binge-reading Witcher fics. Which is, yes, a lot. Almost as bad as that spring break in 2014 when I read Cap fandom fics for a whole week. But yes, many very enjoyable tropes of competent Jaskier and Geralt who doesn't think he deserves good things, and the commentary on nobility and monsters are definitely a nice bonus.

And yesterday I stumbled into a gothic mystery fic!?? Like, crumbling manor with mysterious curse and corrupted family sort of thing. *Very* fun read, and I'd argue that it stands well without the fandom supports. Basically all you need to know is that Witchers are people who take contracts to hunt monsters and are ostracized by society, and you're good to go.

Anyways, only ONE!!! last week before August happens. Yeesh, July sure went by in a haze. I've been procrastinating on finishing my FTH comic (all that's left are the crowd scenes and some coloring, so ... egh). But I'll try to get that done. I also have ~3 short Rutabaga comics drawn and not posted, and another 3 more longer Rutabaga comics to ink. (I got stuck on a 4th one, so I may just .. not finish that one.)
