Anon asked: I noticed when looking at your askbox post, commenting has this warning: "Notice: This account is set to log the IP addresses of everyone who comments.". Also what do you mean by "comments are private"? Would you be blogging them like when answering an ask on Tumblr? Anyway, it's fine by me to blog this one (without the IP address)

!!! So sorry, I forgot to turn off IP tracking!

(FYI, it's under Account Settings --> Privacy:
)

Let's see how it goes without the IP tracking. I think it'll be fine if... no one spams me???

Anyway, what I mean by "comments are private" is that they're screened -- people won't see your comment/"ask". If you're logged in, it'd register as you, and when I reply, you should get a notification for it, while the whole thing remains private. If you're posting as anon, then the only way I'd respond is like this: with your message in a <blockquote>, kind of like how tumblr works. (Of course, responding to anon asks is always at my discretion, same as on tumblr.) I hope that answers your question! <3 <3 <3

My confusion I guess is I only see the tumblr asks that get publicly answered, so I thought of that as the default. Of course you would still have the option of no answer or private answer but their wouldn't be an expectation of privacy for the asker.

It sounds like that isn't how you planned to use them. If you keep them private both ways, is it similar to private messages, just specifically intended for questions?

(That's enough anon for me now, posting logged in)
