I had been thinking/wondering about racebent characters recently, and, like, I'm coming at this from the point of view of an autistic white person, extreme caution because I know there are things I don't know.

Do you have any quick tips/pointers? Is this something I should even be doing? On one hand, more diverse fics/characters is good, but on the other hand, semi-clueless white guy and "he meant well" doesn't count for much?
